Easy Aussie Migration
Social media content, pull-up banner, event leaflets, and cultural posters for a Sydney migration agent — and the Bengali community organisations he leads
Easy Aussie Migration is a registered migration agency in Sydney, operated by Mr. Surajit Roy — a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 2418554) and former Case Officer with the Department of Home Affairs. The work spans a growing social media content library, print design, and cultural event posters for two Bengali community organisations that Mr. Roy leads.
The logo and website were already in place. What was missing was a visual content system that made Easy Aussie Migration's social feed look considered and specific — not the AI-generated, template-heavy look that had become common across migration agent accounts. The brief was to create posts that feel custom-designed: real photos, deliberate layout decisions, brand-consistent but never generic. As the relationship developed, Mr. Roy — who serves as President of Bangladesh Society for Puja & Culture Inc (BSPC) and Secretary of the Australian Federation for Ethnic and Religious Minorities in Bangladesh Ltd (AFERMB) — extended the brief into cultural event design: invitations, A1 print posters, artist announcement posts, and festival magazine advertisements.
"Not looking AI-generated" means designing deliberately every time — treating the photo cutout, the typographic hierarchy, and the layout as considered choices rather than template fills. A migration agency's social content also has to balance warmth with the trust signals that clients making life-changing visa decisions need to see: MARN numbers, credentials, official references. Both at once, in a 1080×1080 square.
The cultural work required a completely different visual sensibility. Hindu-Bengali festival design draws on a centuries-old visual language — the saffron and gold of Bijoya, the deep red and black of Kali Puja, the pure cream and white of Saraswati Puja. Designs that miss this register look like "cultural-themed" templates rather than materials that genuinely belong to the community.
The social posts fall into three content types, each with a distinct visual treatment. Service promotion posts — like the Partner Visa — use real photography with the brand's dark navy as a grounding layer and yellow geometric shapes as directional accents. Client success posts lead with the human moment first: the client's name and congratulations take the headline, visa details follow. Seasonal posts swap the navy for the occasion's own colour palette while keeping the logo and contact in the footer.
The pull-up banner was built for legibility at a 3-metre viewing distance — strong hierarchy from brand name at the top, through six service categories, to the agent's credentials and contact at the base. For the cultural work, each occasion was researched before any design decisions were made. Kali Puja demanded deep red, black, and gold — the specific visual weight of that festival's devotional character. Saraswati Puja asked for clean cream and white. The AFERMB Bijoya Sommilon 2025 ran across multiple formats: A1 landscape event poster, artist announcement post, and a café advertisement for the event's program magazine.
Easy Aussie Migration has a growing content library that stands out in a category where most accounts run the same AI-generated templates. The client was pleased enough to extend the work into cultural design — producing materials used at community events attended by hundreds of people across Sydney's Bengali diaspora. Each piece reflects the specific occasion it belongs to rather than a generic event design aesthetic.

Reflection
The cultural event work taught me the difference between designing "for a culture" and designing within one. Kali Puja, Saraswati Puja, Bijoya, and Jayanti each have a specific visual language built over generations — the colours, the iconography, the weight of the occasion. Getting them right meant researching each festival before opening Photoshop, not after. The most successful pieces were the ones where the design decisions felt inevitable rather than chosen — where someone from that tradition would see the poster and feel the occasion, not the designer's interpretation of it. The migration work taught the same lesson from the other direction: in a category where everyone's content looks the same, the only design choice that stands out is committing to do things properly when the easier route is to fill a template.
"The social posts were exactly what we needed, they look professional and specific to us, not like everyone else's. We were happy with the migration work, but when I saw what Arnab did for the Bijoya and Kali Puja materials, I knew this was the right person for any design work going forward."
